Greenhouses are closed due to reconstruction

A photo session or filming in the outdoor area and greenhouses of the Botanical Garden gives you the opportunity to capture the most beautiful moments of life in the four seasons or capture the eternal summer in exotic moods. During the flowering of azaleas, which can be enjoyed from late autumn to late spring, we invite you to gorgeous photo sessions in clouds of azalea flowers. The Botanic Gardens provide a unique location for both private and commercial photo shoots, but remember that:

  • During the photo session and filming, the territory of the Botanical Garden must be available to other visitors.
  • The photo session must not hinder other visitors' access to the attractions.
  • Photoshoots/filming involving nudity is prohibited. Photo sessions/filming in swimsuits, etc. are allowed only with prior approval.
  • If the photo session/filming does not comply with the concept and/or internal rules of the Botanical Garden of the University of Latvia, the staff of the Garden have the right to prohibit the photo session/filming.
  • It is forbidden to bring animals into the Garden, blow up balloons/lanterns/smoke candles, scatter small objects (petals/confetti), move or pick plants, touch tropical butterflies and other pollinators, climb vegetation.
  • Please note that the Botanical Garden does not offer photographer services.
