Trees

Trees are among the largest and longest living organisms on Earth. The excursion will introduce both local and foreign species of trees and shrubs.
The guide will show how to distinguish a white alder from a black alder, a horse chestnut from an edible chestnut, which is the true quince, and reveal the real name of the bushes we call 'jasmines'. Various other interesting facts about woody plants growing in Latvia and other countries will be mentioned, including species that were already present when the Earth was inhabited by dinosaurs.
The tour can be adjusted for children from 4-5 years old, as well as for schoolchildren and adults.
The duration of the tour is approximately 60-75 minutes.
The excursion can be booked from May to October.
