The ornamental plant collection represents hardy perennials (herbaceous, subshrub and shrub-like perennials, ornamental grass, alpine plants, ferns, and waterplants), as well as dahlias with 300 varieties. The collection of hardy perennials is one of the largest in the Botanical Garden – it contains more than 1600 taxa. A particular attention has been devoted to hostas (97 different species and cultivars) and geraniums.
