Huge cones of the Bunya pine

It's not happening every day, when huge cones fall down from the Araucaria bidwillii - a coniferous tree of Australia. Anyone can look closer to the cones in the Palm House.

The Palm House holds a quite large collection of coniferous trees from the warm regions, and it is always a big joy when some of them ripe and show their exotic fruits. This time one of the tallest trees in the Palm House - the Bunya pine Araucaria bidwillii has pleased the gardeners and visitors of the Palm House with three huge cones. Here you can see some of the cones of coniferous trees that grow in the Botanical Garden:
